The Department of Computer Science was estabulished in the year 2006 in Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Post Graduate Centre, Etcherla, Andhara University Visakhapatnam and committed to imparting qulity education in the field of Computer Science. The Department currently offers a U.G and P.G Programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and. The curriculum is designed as per the Choices based credit system (CBCS), witch gives the student the flexibility to choose the wide cerity of courses such as Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Data Science and Distributed & Cloud Computing. The syllabus for the courses is constantly updated based on inputs from experts in the industry and academia.
The Courses offered in the department meet the requirements of both industry and research The department has state – of –the art laboratories and classrooms equipped with ICT –enabled learning technologies. Experienced faculty with the Department are actively engaged in research in the areas of Image Processing, Cryptography, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing. The department have MOU with Andhrapradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), which is dedicated to organizing skill enhancement programs for improving the employability of the students.
